Job Summary

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for providing information and assistance to Maryland residents seeking health insurance coverage. You'll work in a fast-paced, remote call center environment, responding to inbound phone calls and providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer inbound phone calls to provide information and assistance regarding health care insurance options to Maryland residents.
  • Update customer and account information as needed, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Update case records and notate the purpose of each call, providing a clear and concise summary of customer interactions.
  • Utilize multiple database applications as resources to provide the best possible solutions for customers.
  • Be open to feedback and coaching, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement and growth.
  • Respond to general customer inquiries, providing timely and effective support.
  • Strive to meet performance metrics, ensuring continued professional growth opportunities and contributions to the team.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you'll need to meet the following requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college attendance or degree is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with customers and coworkers.
  • Minimum 1 year of call center experience, with a proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
  • Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience, with a strong understanding of health insurance policy and terminology.
  • Computer proficiency, with experience using multiple computer applications and database systems.
  • Ability to learn and understand health insurance policy and terminology, providing the best possible solutions for customers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and interact well with customers and coworkers.
  • Ability to problem-solve, prioritize, and multi-task, utilizing multiple computer applications while interacting with customers.
  • Must be flexible, reliable, and available for occasional overtime as needed.
  • Must be able to pass required skill and knowledge assessment tests.
  • Able to commit to 3 weeks of class training without missing any time from work.
  • Able to commit to 4 weeks of supervised call taking (nesting) without missing any time from work.

Technical Requirements:

To ensure success in this role, you'll need to have the following technical capabilities:

  • Compatible computer: Windows 10, MAC OS 10.14 (Mojave) or higher.
  • Webcam and headset.
