About the Role

As a Remote Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for handling a high volume of inbound customer calls, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. Your primary focus will be on delivering first-contact resolution and ensuring high customer satisfaction while adhering to defined operational standards.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Handle a high volume of inbound customer calls (70-120 calls per day) with a focus on providing exceptional customer service
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues related to policy coverage, claim status, and claim payments
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of policy information and procedures to ensure accurate and effective issue resolution
  • Meet department standards for call volume, average handle time, and time management
  • Utilize multiple systems to manage customer interactions and ensure efficient issue resolution
  • Maintain a quiet and professional workspace while working remotely

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • 1+ year of experience in a high-volume contact center environment (previous receptionist or customer-facing experience also considered)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Reliable internet connection with a minimum of 20 UPLOAD & 20 DOWNLOAD internet speed (hard-wired connection required)
  • Smartphone to access VPN
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Minimum typing speed of 30 wpm
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Excellent organization and time management skills

While not required, the following qualifications are considered a plus:

  • Previous remote work experience
  • Insurance industry experience

Training and Schedule

Our comprehensive training program is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in this role. The training is 2-3 weeks long, Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm CST.

Once training is complete, you will be assigned to a 40-hour workweek, Monday-Friday, with a schedule between 7:30 am - 6:30 pm CST. While we don't typically schedule weekend shifts, there may be opportunities for overtime on weekends.
