About the Role: Mandarin Bilingual Customer Service Representative

We're seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Mandarin Bilingual Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a critical member of our customer service team, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless communication with our diverse population of members, medical facilities, transportation providers, and health plans. Key Responsibilities:

  • Take inbound calls from members, medical facilities, transportation providers, and health plans, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Accurately enter ride details to ensure successful ride completion, confirming member eligibility and gathering detailed trip information for scheduling non-emergency medical transports.
  • Handle member inquiries regarding transportation services, identifying and assessing additional needs, and providing empathetic support to members and their guardians.
  • Intake member concerns and complaints, actively working with internal departments to quickly address real-time issues and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve shared goals, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, adapting to changing business needs and priorities.

Requirements and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • Mandarin Language Skills: Fluent in Mandarin (verbal) with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: One (1) year of inbound call center experience in a high-call-volume atmosphere, preferably in a healthcare or customer service environment.
  • Skills:
    • Outstanding problem-solving skills and ability to maintain professionalism in a high-stress environment.
    • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in person, via email, and over the phone.
    • Positive and helpful attitude with exceptional interpersonal skills and conflict resolution ability.
    • Ability to work independently and/or with a team, accurately typing 35 wpm or more.
    • Flexible with the ability to adapt to changes in business, strategy, and technology.
    • Ability to empathize with members and/or their guardians, working effectively with geographically and culturally diverse populations and personalities.

Additional Requirements:

The following requirements must be met:

  • Background Check: Must be able to pass a criminal background record check and sanctions check.
  • Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Flexible Scheduling: Must have the ability to work flexible shifts, including overnights and weekends.

Remote Work Requirements:

If working remotely, you must have:

  • A well-lit, dedicated, and quiet area for remote work without interruption or distraction.
  • A notebook or desktop computer with a minimum processing speed of 1.6 GHz and 16 GB usable RAM available.
  • High-speed broadband service (wired only) with a minimum of 150 Mbps in a dedicated environment or 300 Mbps in a shared environment (having a backup internet provider is a plus).
