Job Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for handling property and casualty (P&C) related customer service and billing inquiries via telephone, providing customers with plan coverage information, quotes, policy changes, and policy change impacts to premium. As a trusted advisor, you will utilize your knowledge of the insurance industry and blithequark's policies and procedures to deliver efficient and professional customer service. Key Responsibilities

  • Contact policyholders to review policies prior to renewal, updating policies to enhance retention and better meet the needs of the consumer
  • Counsel policyholders on appropriate coverage, policy limits, payment options, and state laws to ensure sufficient protection against risks covered by Property and Casualty insurance
  • Make recommendations and process changes to policies, documenting all activity in our system
  • Receive and respond to calls and emails, providing quotes on endorsements as requested
  • Identify opportunities to apply discounts, process insurance verification forms, and act as a liaison for information exchange between customers and insurance companies
  • Review policy information, reference company-specific claims procedures, and assist insured in filing claims
  • Recognize cross-sell opportunities and obtain quote information to drive business growth
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and contribute to the success of blithequark

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a high school diploma or equivalent, combined with 3+ years of increasingly complex customer service experience in an insurance environment. A Property and Casualty insurance license is required, with a Membership license preferred or the ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
