**Job Summary:**
The Customer Service Representative will interact with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about products and services and to handle and resolve complaints. The incumbent will maintain solid customer relationships by addressing questions and concerns with speed and professionalism.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Attracts potential customers by answering product and service questions and suggesting information about products and services.
* Receives and places customer service telephone calls in a timely and efficient manner.
* Opens customer accounts in Oracle and maintains accurate records, updating as required.
* Enters orders from customers in assigned territory and ensures timely processing.
* Recommends potential products or services to the manager by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs.
* Interfaces with accounting, manufacturing planners, shipping, sales team, and customers to resolve issues associated with open/closed orders and posted lead times.
* Clarifies customer complaints and maintains records on a shared drive. Follows up with engineering and QC team to ensure correction and resolution to issued complaints.
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as required.
* Completes other job-related duties and special projects as assigned.
**Knowledge and Skills:**
* Oracle Software knowledge preferred.
* Understanding of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and ISO sections related to the position.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook.
* Bilingual is a plus.
**Qualifications:**
* Customer Service experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
* A college degree is preferred, but not required.
* Strong product knowledge and market/industry knowledge.
* Excellent documentation skills and phone skills.
* Ability to analyze information and make informed decisions.
* Quality-focused and organized individual with a strong attention to detail.
* Quick learner with a positive attitude and a willingness to adapt to changing situations.
