About the position
Responsibilities
• Interpret and implement regulatory agencies laws, regulations and standards.
• Conduct surveillance activities to identify infections.
• Maintain accurate documentation.
• Provide ongoing infection control education to all health care workers.
• Assure committee participation.
• Maintain performance improvement activities.
• Maintain professional development and competency.
• Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Public Health, Medical Technology, Biology, or related health sciences field or Registered Nurse with current State of Louisiana RN License.
• 5 years Nursing or healthcare managerial experience.
Nice-to-haves
• Infection Control experience.
• Certification in Infection Control within 2 years of hire or BSN.
