Job Overview

In this critical role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for handling customer service inquiries related to pharmacy benefits, resolving problems in a timely and professional manner, and assisting members in maximizing the use of their pharmacy distribution program. Your expertise and dedication will play a vital role in ensuring that our members receive the support they need to navigate our services with ease and confidence. As a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work remotely and enjoy a flexible schedule that includes Monday to Friday, with weekends as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls from members, providers, physicians, and internal and external clients, responding to questions and concerns related to pharmacy benefits in a timely and professional manner.
  • Utilize computerized systems to gather information, respond to questions, and document issues and resolutions in a common database, ensuring accurate and complete records.
  • Collaborate with other operational departments to research and resolve mail order and claims issues, responding to members within performance agreement guidelines and maintaining productivity standards and performance guarantees.
  • Identify and escalate concerns received from patients and/or clients in a prudent manner, pursuing corrective action and expediting solutions to meet their needs.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all inquiries to continuously improve the customer service process and reduce potential legal concerns.
  • Adhere to quality and production standards, complying with all applicable blithequark, state, and federal safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the team and ensure exceptional customer service experiences.

Essential Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience in a call center environment, preferably in a customer-facing role (Preferred)
  • 1 year of experience in customer service, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional support and resolving complex issues (Preferred)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with members and provide personalized solutions
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to research and resolve complex issues in a timely manner
  • Proficiency in computerized systems and software applications, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and managing time effectively to meet performance standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a healthcare or pharmacy benefits environment, with knowledge of relevant regulations and guidelines
  • Certifications or training in customer service, call center operations, or a related field
