Trauma ICU Opportunities
Our Trauma ICU is a fast-paced environment that includes high acuity patients. As a Registered Nurse in our Trauma ICU, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including brain, spine, orthopedic, blunt and penetrating chest and abdominal trauma, abdominal transplants, and general surgical care requiring ICU. Our Trauma ICU leadership team fosters an environment that supports learning, mentoring, and building every team member. Trauma ICU Patient Population and Department Specifics
- High acuity traumatically injured patients
- Brain, spine, orthopedic, blunt and penetrating chest and abdominal trauma
- Abdominal transplants and general surgical care requiring ICU
- Patient ratios: 1:2
- Department specifics: 23 beds, 1 of 3 adult trauma centers in Dallas, covering 21 counties (18,000 square miles), and 5 million residents
- 24-hour on-unit provider coverage
- AACN Beacon Award-winning unit
- Multitude of unit committees, including strong practice council
Registered Nurse Requirements
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you should meet the following requirements:
- Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program
- License/Certification:
- RN - Registered Nurse
- BLS - Basic Life Support (required within 30 days of hire)

- Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare technology
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
