Job Summary
We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Service Representative to provide exceptional support to our Review Team. As a key member of our team, you'll interact with beneficiaries and providers via our helpline, create and proofread letters, and maintain timeliness in a fast-paced environment. This role requires excellent decision-making skills, particularly when handling complex appeals.
Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll be responsible for:
- Interacting with beneficiaries and providers via the helpline, creating and formatting letters, and maintaining timeliness
- Providing exceptional customer service, including answering questions, resolving issues, and referring callers to external agencies when necessary
- Fostering effective working relationships with internal and external customers
- Assisting with and participating in Review Team activities, including identifying areas for potential improvement
- Utilizing internal quality control tools to assess individual work and team processes
- Typing, merging, proofing, printing, and mailing correspondence
- Getting and validating notices and medical records
- Providing intake for all appeals received by blithequark
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Post-high school business courses helpful
- Medical terminology desired
- Excellent verbal communication skills, courteous and patient demeanor, and customer-oriented approach
- Good grammar, punctuation, spelling, hyphenation, and written communications skills
- Customer-focused, results-oriented, and capable of building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers
- General knowledge of PC-based computer systems and software packages, with ability to learn additional software as needed
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize assignments, and work independently
Experience
We recommend the following experience:
- Two to three years of clerical experience, including word processing, various filing systems, and telephone customer service responsibilities
- Prior work in a healthcare setting or medical terminology recommended
- Previous data entry or other clerical experience a plus
