Job Overview

As an ABA/Autism Therapist with Key Autism Services, you'll play a vital role in implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy and counseling programs designed by our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). You'll work one-on-one with clients in their homes, collecting data, conducting discrete trials, and implementing behavior support and treatment plans. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, one-on-one ABA therapy to clients in their homes, adhering to treatment plans and protocols established by our BCBA supervisors.
  • Collect and record behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions, using this information to inform treatment decisions and drive progress.
  • Conduct discrete trials, implement behavior support plans, and execute teaching procedures as directed by our BCBA team.
  • Collaborate with BCBA supervisors to refine treatment plans, address client needs, and ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, their families, and our team, maintaining a professional, responsive, and empathetic approach.
  • Arrive on time, prepared for sessions, and maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening shifts.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 1 year of experience working with children in a 1:1 setting.
  • 1 year of ABA experience or equivalent (e.g., Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Autism Experience, Teacher's Assistant, or ABA Tutor).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record.
  • Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) certification (we offer assistance with obtaining certification).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Cognitive Behavior Intervention Plans with youth and families.
  • Previous work in a related field (e.g., special education, behavioral health).
  • Strong understanding of ABA principles and practices.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

As an ABA/Autism Therapist, you'll work in a variety of settings, including clients' homes, and may be required to:

  • Lift up to 35lbs.
  • Perform activities that entail fine and gross motor skills, bend, kneel, squat, sit on floor level or in a chair, or stand for periods.
  • Respond quickly to the movements and behaviors of children.
  • Work in both indoor and outdoor settings.
