Job Summary
We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to join our APAC team on a remote basis. As a key member of our payroll team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of employee payroll, compliance with relevant regulations, and providing exceptional support to employees across the APAC region. Key Responsibilities
- Payroll Processing: Process payroll for assigned APAC countries using a third-party payroll company, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees.
- Weekly Expenses: Process weekly expenses in-house through Workday Host-to-Host fee.
- Payroll Changes and New Hires: Prepare, post payroll changes, new hires, and leavers for every entity to the payroll services timely through Workday HCM.
- Reporting and Compliance: Report new hires/leavers' files to the payroll company in a timely manner, ensuring all new hire paperwork complies with regulations.
- Validation and Coordination: Validate payroll input against payroll checks and coordinate with payroll carriers for required changes/corrections.
- Employee Support: Serve as the point of contact for employees on payroll questions through the Zendesk ticketing system.
- Record-Keeping and Reporting: Record, screen monthly payroll costs, and raise purchase orders.
- Payroll Services Renewal: Report on payroll services' settlement renewal dates.
- Collaboration: Work with Philippines and Singapore team members and follow global system alignment.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree: In Accounting, Business Management, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in payroll and accounting processing in a BPO or shared services environment.
- APAC Payroll Experience: Experience working in APAC payroll, specifically in Korea, Australia, and India.
- Payroll Knowledge: Remarkable knowledge of payroll and associated statutory labor laws required for payroll-related calculations.
- Technical Skills: Above-average use of Google Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Microsoft Excel and Word, and Workday.
- Language Skills: Strong written and verbal communication in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: Professional certifications in payroll or accounting, such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Experience with Payroll Software: Experience with payroll software, such as Workday, ADP, or Paychex.
- Knowledge of APAC Labor Laws: In-depth knowledge of labor laws and regulations in APAC countries.
