Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate K-12 Intervention Specialist to join our team. As an Intervention Specialist, you will work with students in grades K-12, providing support and accommodations to help them access the curriculum and achieve academic success. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to support students with diverse learning needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educators to create a comprehensive support system for students
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students, both individually and in small groups
  • Assess student progress and adjust intervention plans as needed
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress and intervention plans
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders regarding student progress and needs

Essential Qualifications

  • Valid Ohio teaching license with a specialization in special education
  • Experience working with students in grades K-12, preferably in a special education setting
  • Strong knowledge of special education law, regulations, and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in special education or related field
  • Experience with differentiated instruction and Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
  • Familiarity with assistive technology and educational software
  • Certification in a specific area of special education, such as autism or learning disabilities
