Job Summary
We're currently seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician to join our team as a full-time remote car technician. As a key member of our fleet maintenance crew, you'll be responsible for maintaining a diverse range of vehicles, including shipping trucks, heavy-duty tractors, and trailers from various manufacturers. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including diesel, gasoline, and alternative fuel-powered vehicles
- Troubleshoot and diagnose complex problems with vehicle systems, including hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical, and engine control
- Operate standard and manual transmission vehicles, as well as power and pneumatic tools
- Meet all requirements to become Power Industry Truck Operations (PITO) certified
- Work flexible shifts, including second or third shifts, Monday through Friday, Sunday through Thursday, and Tuesday through Saturday schedules, depending on location needs
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- Current documented automotive mechanical experience
- Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - REQUIRED
- Possess a full set of personal hand tools
- Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and personal computers
- Ability to lift 70 lbs./32 kgs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment and occasionally outdoors
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with alternative fuel-powered vehicles
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols
- Experience working in a team environment
