As a Customer Service Representative, you'll play a vital role in providing top-notch support to our Review Team, interacting with beneficiaries and providers, and helping to improve the lives of individuals across the country.
About the Role
As a Remote Customer Service Representative, you'll work from the comfort of your own home, with rotational shifts available for EST, CT, or PST time zones. You'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service support, including:
- Interacting with beneficiaries and providers via the helpline to furnish and request review information
- Creating, formatting, and proofreading letters, as well as maintaining timeliness
- Making decisions regarding complex appeals and ensuring that all correspondence is accurate and complete
- Utilizing internal quality control tools to assess individual work and team processes
- Providing intake for all appeals received by Arsenault
- Answering the Beneficiary Helpline and determining how to best assist callers
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide timely and accurate information
- Correspondence Management: Type, merge, proof, print, and mail correspondence, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Communication: Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, fostering positive working relationships
- Process Improvement: Participate in identifying areas for potential improvement and contribute to process enhancements
- Data Management: Validate notices and medical records, and ensure accurate data entry

Qualifications and Requirements
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Post-High School Business Courses: Post-high school business courses are helpful, but not required
- Medical Terminology: Knowledge of medical terminology is desired, but not essential
- Excellent Communication Skills: You must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a courteous and patient demeanor
- Customer-Focused: You should be customer-oriented, results-driven, and capable of building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers
- Technical Skills: General knowledge of a PC-based computer system is desirable, with the ability to learn additional software packages as needed
- Organizational Skills: You must be able to multi-task, prioritize assignments, and work independently
Experience Requirements
- 2-3 Years Clerical Experience: You should have 2-3 years of clerical experience, including word processing, various filing systems, and telephone customer service responsibilities
- Healthcare Experience: Prior work in a healthcare setting or medical terminology is recommended, but not required
- Data Entry Experience: Previous data entry or other clerical experience is a plus
