Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Math Teacher to provide intervention and academic support to middle and high school students in grades 6-12. As a Math Teacher with Catapult Learning, you will work in a small group setting, using a gradual release model of instruction to help students transition to independent learning. This is a full-time position, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm, at a school in Fairburn, Georgia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Instruct math to small groups of students in multiple grade levels in a face-to-face school setting, with a focus on intervention and academic support.
  • Deliver designated instructional models in math skills to eligible students through utilization of company-designed materials and educational strategies.
  • Develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans using company-provided curriculum.
  • Ensure supervision of students at all times, including escorting students safely to and from classrooms/learning stations.
  • Perform data entry in a timely fashion to meet deadlines, including student attendance, online pre/post testing, progress reports, parent and classroom teacher communication forms, and compliance documentation.
  • Schedule and attend parent meetings/conferences.
  • Establish and maintain student forms and files as required by company, local, state, and federal agencies.
  • Maintain consistent communication with company supervisors, classroom teachers, principals, and parents.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher.
  • Georgia Teaching Certificate or equivalent preferred.
  • Classroom teaching, internship, and/or tutoring experience.
  • Willingness and ability to teach both Math and Reading/ELA to various grade levels.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and Zoom/Teams preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with at-risk youth or students who are struggling.
  • Familiarity with gradual release models of instruction.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
