Job Overview
As an Entry Level Chemical Regulatory Specialist, you will work in a non-laboratory position, focusing on global chemical regulations and compliance. This is an excellent opportunity to learn and grow in a dynamic field, working with a wide range of materials and vendors. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Data Management: Input information from vendor safety data sheets into a hazard communication database, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Regulatory Analysis: Review global chemical regulations and determine their application for various products, staying up-to-date on the latest developments and changes.
- SDS Sheets: Search for and review Safety Data Sheets (SDS) of raw materials, identifying and filling in missing or incorrect information.
- Vendor Communication: Contact vendors as needed to clarify information, request additional data, or resolve discrepancies.
- Continuous Learning: Develop your skills and knowledge in global chemical regulations, software applications, and industry best practices.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree: A degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related science.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new computer software.
- Customer Service: Previous experience in customer service or a related field is preferred.
