Job Overview
As a Registered Behavior Technician with Key Autism Services, you'll play a vital role in delivering in-home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with autism. Under the guidance and supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you'll work one-on-one with clients, implementing therapy programs and collecting data to inform treatment plans. Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one (1:1) in-home ABA therapy to children with autism, implementing treatment plans and programs developed by a BCBA.
- Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions, using this information to inform treatment plans and make data-driven decisions.
- Conduct discrete trials, implement behavior support plans, and execute treatment plans with fidelity.
- Collaborate with BCBA supervisors to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy, staying up-to-date on the latest research and best practices.
- Respond to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors, maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.
- Arrive on time and be prepared for therapy sessions, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high-quality services.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you'll need to meet the following essential qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or be working towards a degree in a related field (Psychology, Education, or Sociology).
- At least 1 year of experience working with children in a 1:1 setting.
- 1 year of ABA experience or equivalent experience working as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Autism Experience, Teacher's Assistant, or ABA Tutor in a school or home setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.
- A reliable vehicle and personal means of transportation, as you'll be required to travel to client homes.
In addition to these essential qualifications, we're also looking for individuals with:
- Experience using Cognitive Behavior Intervention Plans with youth and families.
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or a willingness to obtain certification.
- A passion for working with individuals with autism and their families, demonstrating empathy, compassion, and a commitment to delivering high-quality services.
Physical Requirements
As a Registered Behavior Technician with Key Autism Services, you'll be required to:
- Lift up to 35lbs.
- Perform activities that entail fine and gross motor skills, bend, kneel, squat, sit on floor level or in a chair, or stand for periods of time.
- Respond quickly in short distances (100 feet) in response to the movements and behaviors of children.
- Work in both indoor and outdoor settings, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
