Customs Trade Agent - Second Shift
About the position
Responsibilities
• Coordinate documentation for US Customs and Government Agencies for goods entry.
• Provide excellent customer service to importers.
• Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release.
• Perform data entry and processing of import-related documentation.
• Maintain current shipment documentation in compliance with record-keeping requirements.
• Adhere to international importing regulations.
• Work closely with internal staff and departments to ensure high service levels.
• Process agency brokerage shipments.
• Ensure compliance with government and organizational policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Data entry/keyboard experience required.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Interpersonal skills to interact with various levels of staff.
• Ability to handle a high volume of work and time-sensitive tasks.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Capability to use multiple systems and reference materials.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience in a related field is preferred but not required.
