About the position

Responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care to patients.
  • Collaborate with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement and evaluate care.
  • Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge.
  • Care for patients in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
  • Plan and coordinate care, conduct patient assessments, provide patient education, and perform triage.
  • Function within the scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program required.
  • Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing.
  • Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
  • Obtain and maintain required department specific competencies and certifications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
